Whilst this design may seem a bit complex, it is a nice flowing one to get lost in. It lends itself to variations, eg. leave out the grid and you have a nice line of movement.
As you can see, I'm still going with my colour wash back grounds..so many of them to put tangles on!!
I actually completed the watecolour fish too..
One thing in particular I like about watercolour pencils is the gradient effect that's easy to obtain as you wet the colour , then brush it along to weaken in strength as you go.
If there's "anyone out there" who is IT savvy, I still can't get my nomination icon to work. I have googled how to's and followed their instructions, to no avail. You can email me with some instructions if you can help. I also can't add tangle patterns icon either, so I must be not doing something!!

Looks like this will work without the graph paper. Gonna give it a try!

ReplyDeleteA great design - thanks for sharing. I notice that you are a calligrapher too! I am one as well! I enjoyed your spot very much. Greetings from South Africa, Sue
ReplyDeleteLove this design. I did it without graph paper, just drew in the grid that's actually part of the pattern. It flows very easily. Thanks.
